This chapter presents an overview of a case study on payments/rewards for ecological services (P/RES), which involves a process of identifying, facilitating, and negotiating payments and rewards for upland poor communities that provide a range of ecological services (e.g, water supply and quality, forest and soil protection, carbon sequestration, etc.) to various users and beneficiaries
