Increasing resilience to droughts in Vietnam

These projections highlight the need to increase resilience to futuredroughts and floods in Viet Nam. This positon paper provides a specific angle tothe discussions addressing immediate needs for drought-affectedfarmers.
It underlines the importance of integrating agroforestry, forest management,and climate smart agriculture as a central policy response. It points out acritical gap in ecosystems management in response to drought. Yet, ecosystemsmanagement needs to be taken alongside water policy and emergency assistance asa necessary component of drought and climate impact management for forests andagriculture.
