Abstrak
The demographic drivers of environmental change and
the demand for biomass production are already putting
unprecedented pressure on the earth’s soils [2]. An urgent
priority for action is to ensure that worldwide soils will
cope with these multiple and increasing demands
Soil carbon plays a key role in all the four classes of
soil ecosystem services. The flows arising from environmental
processes depend on ecosystem structure, where
soil carbon is a key component, along with the environmental
conditions and human interventions that
can strongly influence the services, goods and benefits
produced
