Together we save Way Besai Watershed: award for best community forestry program and rivercare program

After having a long discussion, at the end of 2007, PLTA Way Besai started to collaborate with RUPES-ICRAF and West Lampung Forestry Deprtment in payment for environmental service programs.

The two main activities in this collaboration include: Firds: providing an award for best community forestry program or known as HKm and some incentive to farmer groups for their effort on planting trees, conservation activities and capacity building. Second: Installing micro hydropower system as a reward for river care groups that have been successful
