Laporan Kajian Kerentanan Terhadap Perubahan Iklim Berdasarkan pada Pengetahuan Lokal Masyarakat di Kabupaten Sanggau, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat

Abstrak

Based on the village typologies identified for this study, the villages in Sanggau District were classified into three types. These villages are extremely vulnerable to climate change (104 villages), villages that are moderately vulnerable (41 villages), and villages that are less vulnerable (20 villages). Villages that are categorized as extremely vulnerable (Type 1) are located very close to oil palm plantation managed by a company, smallholders palm-oil plantations, oil palm mills, mining, main roads. These villages have large areas of shrubs, large human population, small forest areas in every village; located far from deforestation areas and have a low rate of deforestation. On the other hand, the moderately vulnerable villages (Type 3) are located very close to the river, have a large percentage of oil palm plantation per village, located quite far from oil palm mills and mining companies, have quite large areas of shrubs, and have a medium population density. Whereas, the less vulnerable villages (Type 4) are very close to the deforestation location and have the largest deforestation areas, far from the river, have low risks to be affected by forest fire, far from oil palm concession areas, close to the forest, and have a low human population density.
